The Werewolf of Washington – 1973 – United States
An American reporter is bitten by a werewolf while traveling in Hungary. Back in the U.S., he is hired to be the press secretary for the President of the United States. As a werewolf, the reporter commits gruesome murders around Washington, D.C. He tries to confess, but none of his coworkers believe him. Instead, clueless, dishonest, and racist politicians accuse communists, hippies, and African American revolutionaries. The reporter also has an affair with the president’s daughter. For protection, he gives her a gun with a silver bullet which she eventually uses to kill him. The film ends with the president becoming a werewolf. As the credits roll, he reads a presidential address which ends with him howling.
