Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women – 1968 – United States/Russia

Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women begins with a documentary-like primer on the future of space travel. Models of cool and outlandish prototype spaceships are seen.

In the year 1998, an international crew of astronauts lands on Venus. They explore the rocky, swampy landscape with their robot John. They fight off dinosaurs and a killer flower with tentacles, find ruins of an undersea civilization, and survive a volcanic eruption. One of the astronauts hears siren-like singing and concludes that women must live on the planet. It turns out that he is right. The women are a tribe of beautiful blondes in seashell halter tops. They are telepathic, eat live fish, and worship a giant pterodactyl. When the astronauts kill their pterodactyl god, the women worship the astronaut’s robot instead.
